POSITION: Truck Driver/Warehouseman
WORK HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours/week
ANNUAL SALARY: Ordinarily Resident (OR): FSN-3; US$5,516(Starting Salary)

The U.S. Mission in Hanoi, Vietnam is seeking eligible and qualified applicant for the position of Truck Driver/Warehouseman in its General Services Office (GSO).

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Incumbent of the position will drive support vehicles for Property and Supply to transfer warehouse staff and supplies, including motorcycle, car, small truck, large truck and forklift. The incumbent will drive all vehicles to transport Embassy goods, unloading, storing, removing, and delivering official USG property, supplies and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.
1. EDUCATION: Completion of high school (grade 12) is required.
2. EXPERIENCE: At least two years of experience in driving and warehousing work is required.
3. LANGUAGE: Level 2 (Basic knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This will be tested.)
Level 4 (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have Vietnamese driver’s license valid for both passenger vehicles and trucks (Vietnamese category C driver's license or higher). Must have ability to drive post's vehicles in a proper and safe manner; ability to recall the storage location of a wide variety of expendable and non - expendable USG property; and ability to match stock identification data against receiving reports and issuance forms. Must be able to carry heavy items.
5. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to operate Embassy vehicles, including motorcycle, car, light truck, heavy truck and forklift. Must be able to communicate effectively with Embassy customers when making deliveries of goods and merchandise, making deliveries and pickups at various Embassy offices and resident.
