As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. The Project Social Dimension of Sustainable Green Growth in Vietnam aims to achieve a more inclusive green growth path by strengthening the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs’ capacity to identify and assess the impact of structural reforms and ensure that measures to compensate negative side effects are in place.
The project is part of the Program Macro Economic Reform/Green Growth, which supports the Vietnamese Government developing and implementing macro-economic reforms toward a green, more inclusive model of growth.
The Project is looking for national candidates to fill the following positions:
Project Officer “SD_GGP”
Duty station: Ha Noi, Viet Nam
Duration: ASAP until 31. December 2018 with possible extension
Summary of main responsibilities:
• Contributing to conceptualization of policy advisory strategy and activities
• Planning, coordinating the activities to implement the human capacity development (HCD) strategy of the project incl. co-trainer and multiplier tasks (train-the-trainer) and actively assisting/partaking in training programs
• Participating in the reflection for modifying PIA (Policy Impact Assessment), SIA (Social Impact Assessment) approach and methodology that are suitable for the context of Vietnam
• Providing technical advice to the partner on policy impact assessment, and social impact assessment approach and methodology
• Facilitating, supporting the preparation of PIA, SIA reports
• Leading and managing SIA research and drafting teams
• Responsible for monitoring and evaluation of project outputs and outcomes
• Knowledge management
