Job Title: Income Generation (IG) Officer

Department: Operation Division

Reports to: OD Manager/IG Manager

Location: Head office (Hanoi)

Type of contract: Full time  

 

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has been operating in 37 countries, supporting approximately 17 million people, including more than 10 million children.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 3 provinces; Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. GNI is working in main areas as child sponsorship and education, water and sanitation, income generation, etc. in 9 CDPs and is managing over 9,600 sponsored children.

 

1.KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Project manager, Project Officers.

External: Communities.

 

2.MAIN DUTIES

  • Coodinating IG activities in being in charge CDPs  under GNI strategy;
  • Researching and developing Income generation projects that are suitable with CDP context;
  • Developing brand label and supporting market information and other supports that are acquired for business, producing development to benefited farmers in CDP;
  • Market researching and finding pucharsers and partners to sale IG products;
  • Monitoring and evaluating IG sector of CDP;
  • Implement other tasks related to the project activities when required.

 

3.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: Bachelor degree in public university with relevant fields: Agriculture economic, Marketing.

Work experience:

  • 1 year relevant working experience in IG.
  • Experience market development, market research,
  • Experience and skills of planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and partnership;
  • Experience in community development or with NGO

Skills:

  • Advanced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good skilled in management
  • English: Intermediate English: Intermediate

Attitude

  • Sociable, responsive, committed
  • Honest
  • Accountable
