(Supply Chain Specialist, SNV Vietnam)

 

Based in Hanoi (with some travel to other provinces)

(full time employment contract)

       SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. Using market based approaches, SNV is committed to reducing poverty by catalyzing environmentally sustainable solutions for the poor in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation).

        SNV Vietnam seeks a Supply Chain Specialist for a World Bank assignment which is to support sanitation supply chain development and capacity building in the 21 provinces on rural sanitation in Northern Mountains and Central Highlands Regions of Vietnam (NM-CH).

 

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct field work and report on the testing activities in 3 selected provinces (Hoa Binh, Dak Lak and Tuyen Quang to adapt the sanitation business models to remote areas, in coordination with the provincial coordinators (PC) of the 3 provinces.

• Provide inputs to develop the adapted supply chain package;

• Provide inputs to the sanitation curriculum;

• Regular oversight and support to Provincial Coordinators on supply chain capacity building activities;

• Review reports on the supply chain component implementation in 21 provinces provide feedback to 21 PC and consolidate information for donor reporting.

 

Candidate profile

• Bachelor degree in relevant field, such as marketing, business development, economics or environmental health

• At least five years of proven and successful experience conducting supply chain analysis and business development within rural contexts, experience utilizing the information to inform program design. The experience in the area of rural sanitation if preferable

• Strong knowledge of the water, sanitation, and hygiene sector; familiarity with the water, sanitation, and hygiene sector in Vietnam highly desirable

• Ability to effectively and respectfully work with a team of professionals with different cultural and sector backgrounds

• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English

 

Supervision:

The Supply Chain Specialist will be coached and supervised by Team Leader of this project.

 

Contract Duration:

One year full time contract.
