COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
(Full-time employment contract)

SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. Using market based approaches, SNV is committed to reducing poverty by catalyzing environmentally sustainable solutions for the poor in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation).
SNV Vietnam is seeking a highly qualified national candidate to fill the position of Communications Officer for its programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop key promotional messages and communications activities to support project implementation in consultation with project teams
- Provide technical advice and support to project managers/team leaders inplanning and developing of relevant information and communications products
- Maintain and monitor contact with media and coordinate response to media requests
- Responsible for promoting SNV image and branding externally
- Ensure compliance of project activities with project communication strategies by following donor and SNV guidelines and project workplan of each specific project
- Assist in conducting awareness raising campaigns, events, and information dissemination workshops
- Regularly maintain and update SNV Vietnam website, social media, and corporate newsletter with project information, results, events and stories
- Undertake occasional field visits to capture project photos, videos and testimonials
- Support drafting of brochures, capability statements, presentations, press releases, case studies, and other marketing materials in both English and Vietnamese
- Support the development of audio-visual presentations
- Ensure effective knowledge management for all key project files
Candidate profile
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Foreign Language or other relevant degree
- At least 3 years of professional work experience in designing and executing communication activities, preferably in development programmes and/or with an international organisation
- Knowledge of and experience with media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
- Ability to propose and lead the development of innovative communication materials for specific projects including consulting and collaborating with project managers for project needs, writing, designing and overseeing the communication production process for successful delivery
- Ability to take high quality photos of events (workshops, meetings) and at project sites for technical purposes
- Strong ability with Microsoft Office required; Experience with design software as well as SharePoint 365, photoshop and InDesign;
- Strong background in use of social media
- Experience with communication/ creative agencies/ vendors will be added advantage
- Ability to work in a team and respond to tight deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment across multiple projects
- Successful candidate must be proactive, takes initiative, demonstrates good problem solving skills, and takes a creative approach to communications.
- Very good command of English and Vietnamese (both verbal and written)

Contract Duration:
1 year contract with the option of extension based on performance and budget availability.
Reporting: the position will report to Business Development Coordinator
Desired start date: as soon as possible.
