Save the Children started our work in Vietnam in 1990, and implements programs in the key thematic areas: Education, Health and Nutrition, Child Protection, Child Rights and Governance, Child Poverty, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Emergency Response. At present, Vietnam Country Office has programs in 20 out of 63 provinces in Vietnam.
Save the Children in Vietnam continues to develop innovative programming that reflects the overall strategic goal of measurably improving the survival, health, protection and development of Vietnam’s poorest children by strengthening the capacity of women and children, caring adults, communities and partner organizations.
We are looking for one Vietnamese national for:
Position: Child Sponsorship Project Intern

Tasks and Accountabilities
1)Sponsor Servicing and Retention:
- Work closely with Operation Staff and Community Volunteers to deliver and collect correspondences between the sponsored children and sponsors (letters, postcards, e-mail messages or gift package)and take responsibility on the high-quality contents and precision of the child’s letter, in which the letters must reflect the “hand/voice of the child” and the language needs to be pure and age-appropriate;
- Update Correspondence Status Tracker and follow-up with the deadline of routine correspondence;
- For special inquiries from sponsors, support Operation Staff in gathering information about the child in a timely manner;
- Support Communications Assistant in collecting inputs for communication materials (photos, videos, blogs, case-studies, etc.) and adhere to all guidelines and deadlines for all communications throughout the year.
2)Child Information Management, Eligibility & Program Participation:
- Participate and support Field Office in child enrolment, frequent child eligibility check, Mid-Year Eligibility Check and Annual Family Update, and monitoring child participation in sponsorship-funded programs;
- Coordinate data from the field and Data Management focal point in updating and reporting child’s status;
- Ensure quantity, timing and quality of child’s application form and family update form and photos collected;
- Follow Sponsorship Policies and Procedure Manual and In-country Sponsorship Procedures and Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding Policies.
3)Field Implementation:
- SupportField Staff in providing logistics for events, such as training for community volunteers, community orientations, child enrolment campaign and events for children (if required);
- Assist implementation of program activities in the field.
4)Admin & Logistics:
- Arrange logistics for field trips, meetings and workshops and provide meeting minutes for team meetings;
- Phone, fax, mails, scan, print, photocopy, etc.
Requirements
Essential
- University degree
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese
- Experience in working with children
- Good communication and organization skills and ability to complete a wide variety of tasks
- Good computer skills including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
- Willing to learn and travel to project sites
- Positive attitude to team work
- Basic knowledge of development work
